When permission was granted in 1975 to Thwaite’s Brewery of Blackburn to build a pub to serve the developing Simmondley estate its name was given as the Thwaite’s Arms.
The Final Order was granted to Denis Crowshaw on 4th October 1977.
However as it opened in 1977 it was appropriately called The Jubilee after the Queen’s Silver Jubilee and its first licensee was Roy Galloway, followed in 1980 by Neville Sherbourne, five years later by Arthur John Williams and ten years later by Michael Edward Davis.
Post 2000 – In 2018 The Jubilee was closed and demolished. Houses were then built on the site.
